Summary
Tryon Fine Arts Center (TFAC) and Tryon Concert Association(TCA) are collaborating to present AOK - Arts Outreach for Kids. Two of TFAC’s Main Stage artists and two of TCA’s artists will each present a concert during the school day. On Friday, November 3, 2017 at 1pm, Ranky Tanky will take the stage. Gullah” comes from West African language and means “a people blessed by God.” “Ranky Tanky” translates loosely as “Work It,” or “Get Funky!” In this spirit this Charleston, SC based quintet performs timeless music of Gullah culture born in the southeastern Sea Island region of the United States
