Description

Join the TFAC Film Series for a screening of the 2009 film Julie and Julia. Frustrated with a soul-killing job, New Yorker Julie Powell (Amy Adams) embarks on a daring project: she vows to prepare all 524 recipes in Julia Childs' landmark cookbook, "Mastering the Art of French Cooking." Intertwined with Julie's story is the true tale of how Julia Child (Meryl Streep) herself conquered French cuisine with passion, fearlessness, and plenty of butter.

Join us at 5:30 p.m. for a gala celebrating the 2016 Film Series "The Pleasures of Food and Drink"

Admission for the gala, which includes refreshments, delicious food, based on the recipes of Julia Child, and of course the film, is only $25.00.   It will be a night to remember, as many of our previous film galas, have proven to be.  The gala will begin at 5:30, followed by the film at 7p.  It will take place in the Mahler Room at TFAC.  The gala is currently sold out. Please join us for the film at 7pm. $6 tickets are available at the door.

The film will start at 7pm, with an introduction from Chef Jim Tabb, a former colleague of Julia Child.

If you prefer to only attend the film, admission is $6 at the door. Popcorn & concessions will be available, in the lobby.
