Dark Horse Theater Project: Production 4

On Tuesday, August 22^nd at 7pm, Dark Horse Theater Project will present its final evening for 2017 with a selection of 4 of the very best short plays by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning playwrights from the Naked Angels and 24 Hour Theater Company of NY. In an attempt to simulate the excitement generated by these time sensitive events, the 9 extremely talented local (and not so local) actors will have had only a read-through and one rehearsal of their assigned scripts. This is in keeping with the goal of spontaneity and freshness inherent in this type of ‘flying without a net’ creativity.

The Dark Horse Theater Project is presented by the Stage Door Series, where you're seated on stage with the performers. Admission is by donation at the door, but reservations are strongly encouraged. Beer, wine, and refreshments are available for purchase. The performance runs 60 minutes.

If you’ve not previously attended a Stage Door Series event, part of the fun is entering TFAC through the actual Stage Door, located on the Lanier Library side of the building and proceeding through the stairwell to the backstage area of the Veh Stage.

Lanier Library is holding an event at the same time on the 22^nd also. Please make sure their parking lot is available for use of their patrons. For the Tryon Fine Arts Center Event, park either in the Baptist Church parking lot and walk through the Farwell Garden, or park in TFAC’s parking lots and cross in front of the building and enter through the Stage Door.

Entry for folks with mobility issues will be possible through the front entrance on Melrose Avenue. Someone will be there to aid you.
